UCLA’s Marathon Reading event will take place this year on Friday, May 10th at 12 PM to Saturday, 11th at 12 PM. After 9 successful years from 1996 to 2005, Marathon Reading is back for the third time! The event will bring three books to life as local artists, authors, and literature enthusiasts read aloud for 24 hours straight. The books featured this year are The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood, Parable of the Sower and Parable of Talents by Octavia Butler.
